Backcountry Access’s Tracker S Avalanche Beacon is a slightly stripped down version of BCA’s Tracker 3 Transceiver to make BCA’s reliable transceiver technology available to more backcountry users. The Tracker S still boasts an impressive 50 meter search on a reliable triple antenna design. In multiple burial scenarios, the Signal Supression mode lets us suppress a signal once the fine search has begun, allowing us to move onto the next victim. The only differences between the Tracker S and the Tracker 3 are the motion-sensing auto revert and ability to upgrade the software.
