The Kestrel Ice Tool is officially Trango’s lightest, most advanced tool for fast-and-light mountain objectives. Trango achieved a ridiculously light weight by making the shaft out of a carbon Kevlar weave that’s not just ridiculously light, but doesn’t retain heat like aluminum and might actually help with screaming barfies. An epoxy spray coats the dual pommel grips to give a better grip without adding tape. A shaft this innovative deserves an equally aggressive pick, so Trango equipped it with a pick that’s strikingly similar to the Raptor Pick. It’s a sharp, tapered pick angled aggressively for a naturally powerful swing into ice and rock. You can switch the pick out for mixed picks when there’s more rock than ice, and there are attachments for weights to get more power out of your swing.
